Environmental Excellence Award - The Solent Schools

Portsmouth Music Service has been awarded for its exceptional environmental efforts at the 2026 International Green Apple Environment Awards. Their innovative ‘Ticking Clock Initiative’, which engaged hundreds of children and young people from Portsmouth, has been recognised as a leading example of environmental best practice. This esteemed acknowledgment will be celebrated at an awards ceremony held at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London.

The initiative, which saw enthusiastic participation from pupils at The De Curci Trust’s Solent Schools, underscores the importance of environmental education and action among young people. The Green Apple Awards are renowned for honouring organisations that make a significant impact on environmental improvement through innovation, dedication, and tangible results.  By receiving this award, Portsmouth Music Service is placed among the top organisations in the UK, showcasing leadership in environmental sustainability.
