Curriculum

Our schools design their phase-specific curriculum in order to inspire students with an intrinsic love of learning and to allow them to develop their knowledge, skills, talents and interests ‘across the board’. The curriculum is adapted to be inclusive and meet the diverse needs and high ambitions of our students.

Based primarily on the National Curriculum, teachers plan and sequence the curriculum in a logical way, making links that allow students to develop their knowledge and skills cumulatively. Reading for pleasure and purpose is prioritised across all phases.

The formal curriculum is supported by a wide range of extra-curricular activities, clubs and trips that support students’ social, personal and character development.

‘Next steps’, be they to another school, further/higher education or the workplace are supported by carefully planned careers and transition experiences.
